I saw low clouds moving fast through Minneapolis and immediately thought of doing a time-lapse. It was raining a bit, so I didn't want to carry my photo gear.
I took my phone and walked onto the Franklin Ave bridge where I had a good view of the city. I took photos and a couple of time-lapse videos. I opened one of the photos in Photoshop, cloned out orange highway cones, duplicated the layer and used screen blending mode masked to affect just the headlights on the vehicles. I darkened the sky, added contrast to the clouds and lightened the center buildings. Lastly, I increased the saturation of the yellows. I was done and happy that I went out in the rain.
