I love taking bird photos. Some women collect rings, necklaces, bracelets. I collect photos of birds- they are my jewels. I would like to take beautiful landscape photos also. To do this, I determined that I needed to learn Photomatix. I spent  four days this week learning how to load my

files into Photomatix- now that I know how to do this it's so simple. I want to load raw files directly into Photomatix from Bridge. I read that files needed to be converted to TIFFs and saved first. This didn't make sense to me: I want to retain all the raw file info to be used in Photomatix for

image processing, once done all I have to do is save it as a 16bit TIFF and open in Adobe Camera Raw if I choose to do so.  So, now that I learned

this process, I hope to add more landscape photos to my files.
